Before You Send Your Console or Controller

Please contact us before sending anything in. This helps us confirm the likely fault, avoid unnecessary courier costs, and make sure we have the correct parts available.

Please include your name, phone number, return address, email address, console or controller model, and a short description of the fault inside the box.

What To Send

In most cases, we only need the console or controller itself. If you are sending a console, please do not include controllers, power cables, HDMI cables, games, stands or accessories unless we specifically ask for them.

If the fault only happens with a certain accessory, cable or controller, please let us know before sending anything in.

Packaging Instructions

Please pack your console or controller carefully. Courier damage can happen when items are sent in oversized boxes with insufficient padding, allowing the item to move around during transport.

  • Use a strong cardboard box.
  • Wrap the console or controller in bubble wrap or similar protective packaging.
  • Use enough padding so the console or controller cannot move around inside the box. Smaller, tighter-fitting boxes are usually safer than oversized boxes where the item can shift during transport.
  • Avoid sending the console or controller in its original retail box unless that box is inside another box.
  • Do not place loose cables or accessories against the console or controller where they can cause damage.
  • Seal the box properly with packing tape.
  • Use a tracked courier service.

If your console or controller is packaged correctly and securely, there is very little chance of it being damaged during courier transport. Thousands of electronics are shipped safely every day throughout New Zealand, and careful packaging is the key to protecting your item while in transit.
