A very common fault we see on PlayStation 4 consoles is damage to the power supply socket connection on the motherboard. This usually happens when the console has been dismantled and the power supply has been removed incorrectly, tearing the socket or solder pads away from the board.

Symptoms of this fault can include:

• Console completely dead with no power
• Intermittent power issues
• Loose or damaged power supply connection
• Console powers on only when pressure is applied
• Visible motherboard damage around the power socket area

This repair involves carefully inspecting the damaged area, repairing broken traces or lifted pads where possible, and reinstalling the power supply socket connection. We use quality soldering equipment and microscope-level repair techniques to ensure the connection is repaired correctly and securely. Once completed, the console is fully tested to confirm stable power operation.
